Overview

In essence, the AK-47 Mk3 is an AK47 modified to fire the lighter 5.45 cartridge and so given generally much higher stats for reduced damage per shot (see below for comparisons).

Like the other "pre-upgraded" weapons (namely the M4A1 mk3), there are no mods available for this weapon, but the gun this weapon is based upon (The AK-47) can be modified.

On January 29 2014 Update the old Ak47 (Classic) got removed and this guns name changed to AK 47.

Notable Comparisons

AK-47 (Classic)

The AK47 has higher damage (43, 46 if modded, to 40) and the capacity to be Modded. The Mk3 has noticeably higher Range ( 48 to 45) , higher Accuracy (76 to 72) , MUCH higher stability (50 to 30) and only slightly higher Rate of Fire (42 to 40). They share the same Mobility (45)

Note: Two of the Ak47's mods (for the trigger and grip) increases aimed shot performance, presumably making it better for aimed firing when compared to the Mk3. Whether this is true or not is currently unconfirmed.

M4A1 Mk 3

The M4A1 MK.3 has much higher stability (60 to 50), much higher mobility (55 to 45), and MUCH higher RoF (65 to 42). The AK-47 has noticeably higher Damage (40 to 34), higher range (48, 43) much higher accuracy (76, 68). Both "Mk3's" share the same size magazine capacity (30).

Trivia

• Unlike other variants of the AK-47, the AK-47 MK.3 shares the same firing sound as its counterpart
• There is no visual difference between the AK-47 and the AK-47 MK.3
