Melee Weapons might seem insignificant in a game like A.V.A., but don't be mistaken about the utility a knife provides when both you and your assailant, or assailants are out of ammo with no time to reload your weapon. Some people like myself (6thBlackWing) have learned the skill to avoid bullets and head for the kill with a simple knife, or we've learned the art of assassination by beheading the enemy while silently walking behind them. The Melee Weapon is by all means, a useful tool where it's deemed guns would be highly ineffective.

Although unproven, Melee weapons seem to ignore most types of armor.
