− | *Always aim at head, with its range and penetration it will lead to easy head-shots. If you fail with first shot at head pull cross-hair down and shoot at stomach. |

+ | *Avoid moving at all while shooting the Para (crouch or walk); as many expert users say, it is much more important to land shots on your opponents than to avoid theirs, especially with such a high damage weapon. |

− | *If you have to move while shooting WALK. Running with this gun is not an option. |

+ | * Beginners should tap very slowly when first using the weapon; this can be easily achieved by lifting the finger completely off the left mouse button while tapping. |
||
− | *If enemy hide behind thin wall or doors, still shoot at him. Para can wall-bang easily. |
||
− | * If you are a beginner to the Para, tap slowly at first, then when you get used to it, start tapping a bit faster. |

The Cannon is an assault rifle first introduced in the 10-14-10 Content Update.
Overview
The SA58 Para boasts the second highest damage (see M1 Garand) rating of all the Rifleman class weapons along with a high rate of fire at 65; these stats give the SA58 the second highest damage per second of any rifle, as well as one of the longest ranges for a one-shot-headshot kill for any rifle (see M14EBR, Kel-Tec RFB, M249). This is balanced out with its low stability, problematic bloom, and below average accuracy.
It also boasts one of the highest mobility stats of any rifle- the running speeds are fast enough to make it unnecessary to run with your pistol since the time switching weapons adds enough time that simply running with the Para is faster. All of these factors make it one of the most popular rifles in the game.
It is a weapon highly valued by professional players that know how to use it properly, allowing them to win against almost any opposition. It has a 25 round magazine that can run out rather quickly due to its high rate of fire, but that shouldn't be a problem to a player that can control their trigger finger, and the weapon isn't made to be used on fully-automatic anyway.

Notable Comparisons
The default G3A3 with the upgrade kit, is comparable in terms of damage, boasting a 37+18=55, but a lower clip size of 20.
The M14 and its variants are higher in damage, but much poorer in stability, mobility, rate of fire, and overall efficiency.
Trivia
- The SA58 Para has "Cal 7.62x51mm NATO" inscribed on the side of it in reference to the caliber of the rifle.
- Contrary to popular belief, the SA-58 Para is not "the" FN FAL. It is an American semi-automatic only rifle made by DSA, its full name being the DSA SA-58 Para Elite Compact
- The SA-58 Para shares the same reload animation as the HK416.
- Despite being nerfed 5 times, it is still the considered Top Tier weapon in the game. (This gun was nerfed during the update on 9/24/12. Mobility and accuracy were lowered, but Redduck also added more stability, increasing it to 27 from 25.)
- The 'Para' in its name is short for Paratrooper, the fact that it has para in its name, yet is a civilian rifle cannot possibly mean that it was made to be used by actual paratroopers, considering this the most likely reason DSA added the Para suffix is because of its folding stock, which bares an uncanny resemblance to the folding stock of the FN FAL 50.61 Para, which was made for paratroopers.
- The SA-58 PEC is somewhat diffrent from the regular SA-58 PTC, as it has a railed handguard along with a side-folding stock and shorter barrel
